Question:

A friend visting from a foreign country was allowed to drive my car and got in an accident causing $3K in damage. My insurance asked for his international drivers license. However, because he plans to stay in the country (although he is going to live in a different state from the one where the accident occured - does this matter?) he is hesitant to share his intl license with my insurance even though the payout will be from my policy. Would his future insurance be affected by this accident even though it is my policy paying and he lives in a different state and he will eventaully get a local (non-international) license?
