What Counts for a Comprehensive Policy in the Event of Vandalism?

I have a vehicle that has full coverage and while parked in a parking lot it was vandalized. The vandalism included a broken window, stolen stereo, and scratches to the car's paint. Additionally, there is a dent with paint cracking above the front license plate as if it was hit with a blunt object. Now my question is: if this dent was caused during the vandalism by a car backing into it to check for a security alarm, does that event fall under comp or collision? And if it falls under collision do I have to pay the deductible twice even though it happened in the same incident of vandalism?

Answer:

This would depend largely on the police report provided by your local law enforcement as well as the nature of the policy you had purchased from your current agent.
